Sean “Diddy” Combs may have dodged the most serious charges in his federal case, but he won’t be celebrating Independence Day in style.
Instead of his usual jet-setting and celebrity-packed parties, the music mogul will be spending July 4 behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center—where the holiday menu is a far cry from the luxury he’s used to.
According to People, Diddy’s day starts at 6 a.m. with a breakfast of cereal, fruit, milk, a pat of butter, and breakfast cake. Lunch rolls out at 11 a.m. with a choice between a hamburger or bean burger, paired with two hot dogs or soy dogs. Sides include mac and cheese, green beans, fruit, juice, and the standard hamburger and hot dog buns.
Dinner, served after 4 p.m., offers baked fish or black beans, buttered noodles, mixed vegetables, juice, and two slices of wheat bread.
It’s a stark contrast to Diddy’s lavish lifestyle, one that once included luxury homes, private jets, and—according to prosecutors—decadent and disturbing “freak offs.” Now, he’s sitting in the most expensive prostitution case in history, per the New York Post.
Though Diddy was convicted on two prostitution-related charges that carry up to 20 years in prison, advisory sentencing guidelines suggest far less. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges that could have landed him behind bars for life.
Still, any hopes of enjoying freedom before sentencing were dashed when a judge rejected his $1 million bail proposal, which would’ve limited his movement to just four states. For now, Diddy’s reality is prison-issued trays and no VIP access in sight.
