YK Osiris has reassured fans that he’s okay after sparking concern with a troubling photo earlier in the week.
The singer posted a selfie to his Instagram Story showing a visibly swollen face, along with the cryptic caption: “Mannn I’m going through it.” With no further explanation, fans were left wondering what was really going on.
After the internet buzzed with worry, Osiris took to Instagram on Saturday (July 5) to clear the air, sharing a video update on what happened.
“It was an allergic reaction,” he explained. “It went down though.”
His calm tone and improved appearance helped ease fans’ minds, confirming he’s on the mend.
After showing the camera that his face had returned to normal, YK Osiris admitted he’s still unsure what caused the reaction. “I don’t know what I ate, but that shit looked bad,” he said.
Now back to feeling better, Osiris is shifting his focus back to music—something he’s been hesitant to release out of fear of being judged or humiliated.
Back in April, he opened up about those insecurities during a livestream with Lil Rodney Son, admitting that he’s been holding back because of anxiety over how people will react. Lil Rodney, however, didn’t let that slide and dropped some solid advice.
“Put it like this right, we in a world where like everybody else, don’t give a fuck, so you can’t,” he told Osiris. “If you care about what everybody says, you’ll always beat yourself up trying to live up to someone else’s standard.”
Though he’s a supporter of YK Osiris, Lil Rodney switched gears when the singer mentioned he was thinking about becoming a streamer like DDG. His advice? Don’t do it.
