Beyoncé Gives Special Shoutout to Fan From Viral ‘Say My Name’ Video During Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé had a sweet and funny moment with one of her most beloved fans, Anthony Cosby-Knowles (and yes, “the hyphen is not silent”), during a recent stop on her Cowboy Carter tour.

On Saturday (July 5), Cosby posted a clip on Instagram capturing the unforgettable exchange. In the video, Queen Bey spots him in the crowd and pauses mid-show to give him a warm shoutout.

“Come on Anthony. I see you, cousin. Husband,” she said with a big smile, making her way down the stage toward him.

Even Beyoncé’s mom joined in on the fun, posting a photo of Cosby at the show proudly holding a sign with his name on it. “Well!! My imagination son-in-law finally showed up again (last night),” she wrote.

Talk about fan goals!

Cosby is a familiar face to the BeyHive and has earned legendary status among Beyoncé’s fanbase thanks to a memorable moment during her 2009 I Am… tour. In a now-iconic clip, Beyoncé asked him his name before launching into “Say My Name,” and Cosby proudly shouted, “Anthony Cosby Hyphen Knowles,” causing her to laugh and ask if he was her cousin. Without missing a beat, he replied, “I’m your husband!”

Beyoncé playfully fired back, “What’s my name?” and he yelled, “Beyoncé! Say my name, say my name!” The hilarious and heartfelt interaction was captured on video and quickly became a cherished moment in fan history.

That unforgettable exchange was later immortalized in the music video for the live version of “Say My Name,” sealing Cosby’s place as a beloved icon in the BeyHive forever.

Beyoncé experienced a tense moment on stage last month during one of her shows when a stage prop unexpectedly malfunctioned.

While performing “16 Carriages” from a car suspended above the audience, the vehicle suddenly tilted into a sharp slant, prompting the singer to take immediate action. She stopped mid-performance and addressed her crew through the mic: “Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.”

Staying calm and collected, Beyoncé reassured the crowd as she was safely lowered to the ground. “Thank y’all for your patience,” she said, before adding, “I want to thank y’all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know y’all will catch me.”

The moment, though risky, only further highlighted her grace under pressure—and her bond with the fans who love her.
