Charleston White made it clear he sees Drake as “the best.”
While on a recent livestream with Adin Ross and others, the comedian and online personality offered some uplifting words to the OVO Sound boss via FaceTime. Drake, seen laughing throughout the exchange, appeared to enjoy the moment—especially with White’s comments coming on the heels of “What Did I Miss?” hinting at a new solo album on the way.
“You keep holding your head up, n***a,” White told Drake, who will later his week headline all three nights of Wireless Festival in London. “You the best. Don’t let ‘em tell you nothing else. You the best, n***a.”
White also cracked a few jokes, name-dropping Bernie Mac (RIP) and Michael Jordan in the process.
“If you were Black as Bernie Mac, they’d hug on you, but you a yellow nigga doing it like that,” he joked. “If Michael Jordan was a yellow nigga jumping from the free throw line, they wouldn’t wear his tennis shoes.”
At another point in the stream, Drake asked Ross to send over “the flight manifest” for an upcoming private jet packed with streamers heading to Wireless Festival.
“I’m gonna get the jet,” said Drake, who was fittingly called “Iceman” multiple times throughout the stream.
Drake’s upcoming album, rumored to be titled Iceman, will be his first solo project since 2023’s For All the Dogs. Earlier in March, he hinted that this “next chapter” might make some people “feel uneasy.”
