IShowSpeed Reacts to Crowd Chanting ‘Messi’ at Him: ‘Yo, Can We Get Rid of Them?’

While streaming live from Croatia, IShowSpeed appeared dressed as a Roman soldier and was hit with a chant that caught him off guard.

During the four-hour IRL stream, Speed hyped up a large crowd of fans, making a grand entrance to dramatic music alongside others in Roman attire. After his introduction, he shouted “This is Sparta!” and repeatedly asked the crowd to quiet down. But things took a turn when fans began chanting “Messi, Messi, Messi!”—likely poking fun at his recent failed attempt to meet Lionel Messi.

Clearly irritated, Speed turned to one of the fellow Roman soldiers and asked, “Yo, can we kill them?”

Last month, Speed tried to meet Lionel Messi, but the encounter didn’t go as planned. When the moment came, Messi appeared to ignore him—though it’s unclear if it was intentional or just a misunderstanding. After posting the clip online, Speed claimed that Messi had “aired” him.

Currently, IShowSpeed is in the middle of a European tour that kicked off Monday, July 7. Along with Croatia, he plans to visit countries like Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Finland, and France, with daily streams starting at 7 a.m. ET. Earlier this year, Speed’s tour of China went viral, though it stirred controversy with claims that it was funded by the Chinese government.
