Young Thug made his stance clear on rats.
On Monday, July 7, the Barter 6 rapper posted on X, “If u a rapper and u a rat, u just gotta go gospel twin.”
It’s not exactly clear who Young Thug was aiming at with his latest post—but fans have a pretty strong guess.
Back in April, Thug dropped “Money on Money” featuring Future, where he called out people cooperating with authorities. Many listeners took it as a subtle jab at Gunna. On the track, Thug raps, “These fuck n***as tellin’ for nothin’, and I gotta be the one callin’ ‘em friends,” followed by, “Brother, you a rat,” and “Twin, you a rat, you smoked, uh.”
When asked about his relationship with Gunna in a GQ interview around that time, Thug laughed and said, “Yeah, I know. Everybody wondering that… I don’t know.”
Gunna, on the other hand, has been distancing himself from YSL. In May, he reportedly covered his YSL tattoo—an update that caught Thug’s attention. He reacted in Our Generation Music’s Instagram comments, saying, “I mean.. he said it must end lol.”
