Nicki Minaj reignited her claims against Jay-Z in a heated rant on X, demanding he settle what she calls a “karmic debt.”
On Tuesday, July 8, Minaj claimed she’s owed up to $200 million for her stake in Tidal — the streaming service launched in 2015, where she and 14 other artists were each gifted 3% equity. The platform was later sold to Jack Dorsey’s Square for $302 million in 2021, but Minaj alleges she was only offered $1 million for her share instead of the estimated $9 million value.
“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest,” she wrote.
Despite the drama, she still gave him props: “You still in my TOP 5 tho. Let’s get it n***a.”
She wrapped it up with a bold warning: fans who refer to him as “Hov” will “answer to God for the blasphemy.”

Minaj reposted supportive messages from her Barbz and revealed she plans to use the money she claims Jay-Z owes her to fund her #StudentOfTheGame charity — helping send fans to college, cover their tuition, and pay off student loans.

Minaj’s feud with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation heated up on Thursday as she fired shots at Roc Nation artist Megan Thee Stallion, taking aim at the rapper over a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against her.
