Drake’s newest jewelry piece draws inspiration from the late Virgil Abloh and brings a Disney classic to life.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, jeweler Alex Moss crafted a stunning Cogsworth chain—based on the beloved clock character from Beauty and the Beast—using 18-karat rose, yellow, and white gold, along with black diamonds and Burmese rubies. The clock’s face is loaded with 154.39 carats of white diamonds and features a 1-carat heart-shaped diamond on the big hand.
Drake also posted a video showing off his new Cogsworth chain, along with a close-up shot of Virgil Abloh’s Lumière piece and a handwritten note from the late Off-White founder that read, “There’s nothing more precious than time.”
“V we still here untouchable,” Drake captioned the post.
Here are a series of photos and videos of Virgil’s Lumière chain.
After the news of Virgil Abloh’s passing in November 2021, Drake took to Instagram to honor his friend, promising, “I will touch the sky 1000 more times for you.”
Since Virgil Abloh’s passing, Drake has honored his legacy multiple times. Tattoo artist Ganga once shared a photo of a tattoo on Drake’s forearm depicting Virgil tossing a kite into the sky.
Drake also paid tribute to him in the liner notes of his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind, dedicating the project to the late fashion icon on Apple Music.
