Maurene Comey, the federal prosecutor who had been involved in the case against Diddy, has reportedly been fired.

Maurene Comey has been let go from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where she was heading the federal probe into Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to sources who spoke with ABC News on Wednesday. The news was first reported by Politico, citing two insiders.

Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey—who was fired by Donald Trump during his first term after the Russia investigation—has now been dismissed from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

Comey spent nearly a decade at the office, serving as senior trial counsel and most recently leading the federal investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs. She previously helped prosecute both Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Meanwhile, the Epstein case continues to stir headlines. Plies recently took aim at Donald Trump for telling the public to move on from Epstein’s alleged client list. With the DOJ and FBI officially ruling Epstein’s death a suicide and stating no high-profile blackmail list was found, Plies fired back on Twitter: “77 million people voted for a liar. Now they mad he lying!”

Stephen A. Smith also weighed in during a NewsNation appearance, brushing off concerns about the list and echoing Trump’s stance.

Despite the denials, speculation lingers—especially after Trump allies Pam Bondi and Kash Patel claimed the list is real, with Bondi boldly declaring it was “sitting on my desk right now.”
