50 Cent’s Ex Sued Over Alleged NDA Violation After Speaking About Relationship Online

50 Cent’s publishing imprint, G-Unit Books, is suing his ex and the mother of his child, Shaniqua Tompkins, for allegedly violating a long-standing agreement.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit claims Tompkins sold her life rights to G-Unit Books back in 2007, agreeing not to publicly share, exploit, or profit from any part of her life story or related rights without the company’s involvement.

Despite the legal action, 50 kept it playful on Instagram by reposting the headline with a jab of his own: “I didn’t realize how much she looks like me, girl you handsome with them baby hairs. LOL.”

It looks like Shaniqua Tompkins may have crossed the line with that agreement. In 2023, she posted a YouTube video titled “Other Side of the Coin,” where she claimed to share “the untold truth of how she helped to build the G-Unit legacy and how Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson wouldn’t be who he is today without her,” according to the video description.

G-Unit Books claims Shaniqua Tompkins recently violated her agreement again—this time by trying to boost her own brand while commenting on high-profile legal drama.

According to the company, last month Tompkins posted on Instagram about Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering case, writing, “Fun fact: I ain’t never sell no [cat emoji].” G-Unit says the added attention led her to further discuss Diddy’s trial and revisit stories about her past with 50 Cent.

Now, the company is suing her for breach of contract and asking the court to stop her from sharing more personal or relationship-related content online. They’re also seeking at least $1 million in damages.

50 and Tompkins share a 28-year-old son, Marquise Jackson. The two have had a rocky relationship for years, with public back-and-forths that flare up now and then. Most recently, on Father’s Day, Marquise took a swipe at his dad on social media:

“Oh it’s father’s day. Happy father’s day to all the real ones. I’m watching my bet and it ain’t looking too good. I got the over. We all know this the day for photo ops. The day ain’t over yet. Finish strong… get on your job,” he posted, according to HipHopDX.

50 didn’t hold back with his response: “You little punk your momma got you and your sister scamming. Them people came to ask me some questions about it. I said I don’t fvck wit them, I’m a law abiding citizen.”
