Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson made their official red carpet debut as a couple at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation benefit gala this week.
The star-studded event, hosted by the three-time Grammy winner at New York City’s Gotham Hall on Wednesday night (July 16), raised over $1.2 million for the rapper’s philanthropic foundation. Celebs like Taraji P. Henson, Lil Uzi Vert, Fat Joe, Muni Long, and Sei Less founder Dara Mirjahangiry showed up in support.
Klay Thompson snagged a pair of Super Bowl LX tickets with a $50,000 bid, while Lil Uzi Vert dropped $30,000 on an Eliantte bracelet. Fat Joe also contributed by winning a $26,000 bid for an exclusive dinner for 10 at Melba’s Restaurant. All proceeds will go toward the foundation’s ongoing work in housing, education, and health and wellness programs.
Founded in 2022 in honor of Megan’s late parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas, the Pete & Thomas Foundation is dedicated to uplifting women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities.
Megan and Klay were all smiles at the gala, just days after officially going public as a couple.
Speaking to Page Six at the event, Megan shared, “I have never dated somebody so kind. This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.”
She continued, “I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”
The couple confirmed their romance on Instagram last week when Klay posted a photo of himself kissing Megan. Their soft launch came earlier, when Megan shared photos with Klay casually spotted lounging by the pool in the background.
