Clipse Extend Justin Bieber the ‘Benefit of the Doubt’ Amid Shade Rumors

Clipse aren’t sweating what looked like a jab from Justin Bieber following the release of their comeback album, Let God Sort Em Out.

After dropping their first LP in 16 years, Bieber reposted a clip of comedian Kerwin Frost hyping up his own album Swag—while throwing shade at Clipse and their fans.

“This is the only album that matters right now,” Frost wrote. “His album is way better than the Clipse. Clipse is for bitter grown men who collect Kaws dolls and shop at Kith and Union.”

Bieber doubled down by adding, “Justice is served.”

When asked about it during their appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood on Friday, July 18, the rap duo kept it cool and gave Bieber the “benefit of the doubt,” choosing not to escalate the situation or take the comments personally.

Clipse’s No Malice made it clear he’s unbothered by Justin Bieber’s post, saying he “didn’t think nothing” of it and is giving Bieber “the benefit of the doubt.”

“I don’t know if you clicking something, don’t know if you reading it or not,” he said during their appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. “I mean, people can be very specific if they want to be, but what does it mean to me? Nothing. We doing what we doing out here. The fans love it, you bringing the music back. Real hip-hop.”

No Malice made it clear that his energy is fully locked in on the fans who are embracing what Clipse brought back to hip-hop. “I’m just focused on the people that love what we’re doing—the energy,” he said. “I don’t care what nobody do.”

Pusha T also chimed in, expressing how surreal it is to see Let God Sort Em Out being mentioned alongside mainstream pop artists. “This is street hip-hop,” he said. “Look how far street hip-hop has [come]. Like, look at what it’s being measured up against.”

As for Bieber, Pusha offered a possible explanation, suggesting the singer may not have even read the full context of Kerwin Frost’s post and simply thought it was something positive. “We’ve all done it,” he added.
