Check Out the First-Week Numbers for Travis Scott’s ‘JACKBOYS 2’

Travis Scott and his JACKBOYS crew are back on top, as JACKBOYS 2 storms into the Billboard 200 at No. 1.

Billboard reports the project pulled in 232,000 equivalent album units in its debut week in the U.S., with a massive 160,000 of that coming from pure album sales—making it the highest-selling album of the week.

The rest came from 72,000 Streaming Equivalent Albums (SEA), fueled by 94.86 million official on-demand streams. The album also landed at No. 4 on the Top Streaming Albums chart.

That huge sales number likely owes a lot to how the album was packaged and sold. Fans could choose from multiple versions: a seven-track digital and vinyl set, a 17-track streaming edition, and a deluxe 20-track drop that arrived right at the end of Billboard’s tracking week. The JACKBOYS online store also went all in, offering limited-edition vinyl, box sets with branded merch, and special CD/download options.

It was a stacked week on the Billboard 200, with five new entries in the top 10. Justin Bieber’s surprise album SWAG came in hot at No. 2, marking his biggest streaming week ever. Clipse also made a splash, debuting at No. 4 with Let God Sort Em Out, their first release in nearly 16 years.

But the drama wasn’t far behind. Pusha T appeared to aim shots at Travis Scott on “So Be It,” from the Clipse album, taking what seemed like a jab at Utopia and even referencing Kylie Jenner. He later confirmed in interviews that the diss was intentional and didn’t hold back on questioning Travis’s loyalty.
