GloRilla is speaking out after being arrested on drug possession charges, calling out authorities for allegedly targeting her instead of focusing on a home invasion at her property.
The “Shyne” rapper was booked into Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday (July 22) and charged with possession of a scheduled controlled substance and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. She was released later that day on a $22,260 bond.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on Sunday (July 20) when deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at GloRilla’s Georgia home. She wasn’t there at the time, but authorities said three suspects broke in and began stealing items before being fired upon by an armed occupant, forcing them to flee.
During their investigation, deputies claimed they “detected a strong odor consistent with illegal narcotics” and discovered “a significant amount of marijuana” in the master bedroom closet. While Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman called GloRilla a “victim of a serious crime,” she believes she was unfairly targeted and addressed the matter on X.
“CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis,” she wrote on Thursday (July 24).
GloRilla also denied reports that she was “busted,” robbed, or even home during the break-in. “Long story short my house gets home invaded and Im the only one that gets arrested,” she added. “So that’s tea”

Authorities are still searching for the suspects involved in the home invasion. In a statement to TMZ, GloRilla’s attorneys, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling, slammed the arrest, calling it “a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become.”
This incident comes just months after the rapper was arrested in Georgia last April for driving under the influence, when police reported detecting the smell of alcohol and marijuana coming from her vehicle.
