Taylor Swift Breaks Social Media Silence to Cheer on Travis Kelce in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Taylor Swift is showing major love for her man and his latest big-screen moment.

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce makes a cameo in the Netflix Original Happy Gilmore 2, the sequel to Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy classic. Naturally, Swift couldn’t help but gush about the film.

The “Cardigan” singer hopped on her Instagram Story to gush about Happy Gilmore 2, writing, “Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch.” She even gave the film her ultimate stamp of approval with a “13/10” rating.

Swift’s social media presence has been noticeably quiet lately; her last post was back in May when she announced she had secured the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums.

In Happy Gilmore 2, Adam Sandler returns as the beloved golfer who comes out of retirement to pay for his daughter’s dance classes. Travis Kelce pops up in a brief scene as a harsh manager at a country club restaurant—though the real Kelce is clearly nothing like the character.

Earlier this week, Kelce shared a carousel of never-before-seen photos with Swift on his Instagram page, featuring sweet vacation moments, date nights, and quality time with friends during the NFL offseason.

This was the first time either Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce had posted photos of themselves as a couple on their own social media accounts.

Kelce, who made his acting debut last year in FX’s Grotesquerie as a mysterious nurse with a dark side, is also set to appear in an upcoming action-comedy titled Loose Cannons, though details about the project are still under wraps.

For now, the Kansas City Chiefs star is back in St. Joseph, Missouri, attending training camp as he gears up for the upcoming NFL season.
