Sharon Osbourne and Kids Moved to Tears at Ozzy Osbourne’s Funeral

It was a heartbreaking day in the world of rock and roll as the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest in an emotional funeral in Birmingham, the city where he grew up.

Sharon Osbourne was joined by their children Jack, Kelly, and Aimee as they walked in a solemn procession through the streets, visibly overcome with emotion. The grieving family leaned on one another for support while fans lined the streets to pay tribute to the rock icon. Despite their immense sorrow, the Osbournes still found the strength to acknowledge the huge crowd that gathered to honor Ozzy.

The family paused at a makeshift memorial at the intersection of Black Sabbath Bench and Bridge to place flowers among the piles of heartfelt notes, photos, and bouquets left by fans. Dressed in black, Sharon was seen wearing a necklace with a ring believed to have belonged to Ozzy.

Also in attendance was Ozzy’s first wife, Thelma Riley, along with their son Louis.

The Osbourne family had announced Ozzy’s death on July 22 with a heartbreaking statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” Since then, they’ve remained largely silent, though Sharon did respond “Bless You” to Gavin Rossdale’s Instagram tribute to her late husband.

Just two weeks before his passing, Ozzy took the stage one final time at a special Birmingham concert titled Back to the Beginning. Performing from a throne due to his battle with Parkinson’s Disease, the rock legend was joined by some of the biggest names in music, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Slayer. The show also featured a historic reunion of the original Black Sabbath lineup, marking their first performance together since 2005 as they delivered some of the band’s most iconic hits.
