Sports Illustrated model and TikTok sensation Livvy Dunne is back on the hunt for an apartment in New York City after reportedly being denied the chance to buy Babe Ruth’s former home.
On Sunday, July 27, the former LSU gymnast shared a TikTok video of herself skipping down a NYC sidewalk.
“What the nyc realtor’s hear when I’m back in nyc looking for an apartment,” Dunne wrote on the clip, giving fans a lighthearted update on her search. She captioned the video, “It isn’t Babe Ruth’s apartment but it’ll do.”
This latest update from 22-year-old Livvy Dunne comes just weeks after she was turned down from buying Babe Ruth’s former NYC apartment. Dunne had made an all-cash offer of $1.6 million for the property at 345 West 88th Street and was expecting to get the keys that same week. Instead, she revealed the co-op board rejected her.
“I’m so upset,” she said in a July 8 video, sharing her excitement about buying her first property. “The gag was it was Babe Ruth’s apartment. So naturally, I’m telling everybody, I’m excited.”
Dunne added that she even brought her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, to view the apartment. “The realtor was so confident, Paul and I went, I got an interior designer ‘cause I didn’t want to bring my college furniture to Babe Ruth’s apartment. That would be, like, criminal.”
Ultimately, the co-op board voted against her. “Pretty much the people in the building voted to not have me live there, which is fine,” Dunne explained.
Fans of Livvy Dunne rallied around her after she revealed she’d lost out on Babe Ruth’s former apartment, with many expressing their disappointment on her behalf. Even former Playboy model Holly Madison chimed in, commenting, “You deserve Babe Ruth’s apartment!!!!!!!!!!”
For now, Dunne appears determined to keep searching for the perfect place to call home.
