Dave Franco and Alison Brie are back in the headlines — and fans are seriously divided over their latest moment.
Just a day after the official release of their new film Together, a short video surfaced showing the couple leaving a workout session with yoga mats in hand. Brie, 42, had a white towel draped around her neck as they walked.
What started as a normal post-workout moment quickly took a strange turn. As Brie walked ahead, Franco, 40, grabbed the towel from her shoulder, sniffed it deeply, then held it above his head and wrung the sweat directly into his mouth.
After the bizarre moment, the camera panned to Brie, who offered Franco her water bottle instead — but he refused, clearly satisfied with his choice.
One shocked X user wrote, “Did he just drink sweat …is this real?” while another added, “I hope they keep doing these even after they’re done promoting this movie lol.” A third joked, “If he’s not this obsessed with me I don’t want it.”
This isn’t the couple’s first eyebrow-raising stunt. Franco and Brie, who have been together for 15 years, have been pulling outrageous antics in public while promoting their new film Together. One memorable moment saw the Community actress clipping her husband’s toenails in a park.
Another stunt saw the couple sharing a single fry a little too intimately at a Wendy’s, all while other diners looked on in disbelief.
Together first premiered at Sundance in January and was later acquired by American production and distribution company Neon for $17 million. The film officially hit theaters on Wednesday, July 30.
