Drake may have just sparked rumors of a collaboration with the TikTok-famous travel brand Jet2holidays — at least that’s what fans are convinced of.
On Thursday (July 31), Drizzy posted a series of photos on Instagram, one of which showed him standing in front of the Jet2holidays logo at what appears to be one of the company’s offices.
While there’s no confirmation yet on what the Iceman rapper is cooking up, here’s what we know about the brand:
Jet2holidays, dubbed “the UK’s largest tour operator,” is recognized for its budget-friendly vacation packages. Its other Jet2 divisions cover various travel services, with the airline side promising “friendly low fares.”
Recently, Jet2holidays has become a viral staple on TikTok thanks to a trend using its iconic advertising. These ads are instantly recognizable for their use of Jess Glynne’s 2015 hit “Hold My Hand” and the catchy “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” tagline voiced by Zoe Lister.
So what exactly does all of this have to do with Drake? Right now, it’s still a mystery.
On Thursday, July 31, the OVO Sound co-founder — who’s been teasing his Iceman persona — shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, one of which showed him standing in front of the Jet2holidays logo at what looks very much like one of the company’s offices. In another shot, Drake is rocking a Jet2-branded reflective work vest.
The post also included nods to Wyclef Jean and the late Hank Williams, but it was Drake’s caption that really got fans talking:
“From Jet2 to 2Jets ya musta mad,” he wrote.
Who else has joined in on the Jet2holidays craze? Big names like Mariah Carey and Jeff Goldblum have already put their own spin on the viral trend, along with a handful of other familiar faces.
On the flip side, the White House also attempted to jump on the Jet2holidays trend — a move that was met with swift backlash and condemnation, including from Jess Glynne herself.
Has Jet2 responded to Drake’s shoutout? Not just yet. Complex has reached out to Jet2 reps for comment, and this story may be updated once they respond.
