Billionaire Larry Ellison is putting his ultra-rare McLaren F1 up for sale, valued at $23 million.

Car collectors with serious cash to burn now have a shot at owning one of the world’s most iconic cars.

Billionaire Larry Ellison has listed his 1997 McLaren F1, a rare gem with just 6,500 miles and only three owners. The supercar is hitting the market through Sotheby’s, with a jaw-dropping value topping $23 million. Despite its age, the F1 has been recently upgraded and remains a prized piece of automotive history.

Sotheby’s is auctioning off Larry Ellison’s 1997 McLaren F1, one of just seven brought to the U.S. through Ameritech. With only 6,500 miles, the rare supercar features McLaren Special Operations upgrades like improved A/C, radiators, a sport exhaust, and an aluminum fuel tank.

Chassis no. 062 was the 53rd of 106 ever built and, while never federally modified, it’s road-legal in California. Recently serviced and “ready to drive,” it’s listed at over $23 million — a price in line with other F1s, like the $20.5M model sold in 2021.

Sotheby’s notes the car’s been pampered by its three elite owners with no expense spared.
