The next chapter of Taylor Swift’s career is officially here.
The pop superstar has announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
Swift, 35, revealed the news while joining her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce on their New Heights podcast.
In a teaser posted to both the New Heights and Swift’s Instagram accounts at 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday, she leans in and says, “So I wanted to show you something.”
Jason, 37, replies, “Okay. What do we got? We got a briefcase? Mint green, with T.S. on it.”
“Yup,” Swift replies with a smile, as Travis, 35, beams while looking between her and Jason.
Jason’s eyes widen. “What’s in it?” he asks.
Swift opens the briefcase, pulls out a blurred item, and announces, “This is my brand new album, Life of a Showgirl.”
Jason screams in excitement while Travis shouts, “T.S. 12!”
Though the podcast kept the cover blurred, Swift’s website now features green-and-sparkly-orange-themed album art, along with pre-order options for vinyl, cassette, and CD versions. The project marks her 12th studio album, with the tracklist still under wraps.
Swift had teased the reveal with a countdown on her website starting Monday, August 11, which hit zero at exactly 12:12 a.m. ET the next day. Fans quickly flooded social media with speculation, posting comments like, “Omg new album drop!!!????? We are so back guys.”
It was confirmed ahead of time that Swift would be joining the podcast with Travis, whom she’s been dating since 2023, after a preview clip of the two playfully flirting was shared on X.
In the clip, Swift compliments Travis, who’s wearing a blue shirt, saying, “Such a nice color on you.”
He replies, “Yes, I know. It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. It’s why we match so well.”
Swift smiles, laughs, and adds, “We’re about to do a f***ing podcast!”
The full New Heights episode featuring Swift is set to drop Wednesday, August 13, at 7 p.m. ET on their YouTube channel.
