Tory Lanez Fails in Bid to Introduce Alleged New Evidence in Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case Appeal

Tory Lanez’s bid to overturn parts of his conviction and sentence in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case has been denied.

On Tuesday (Aug. 12), the California Court of Appeals rejected a key portion of his appeal, according to Legal Affairs & Trials journalist Meghann Cuniff.

Both of Lanez’s habeas petitions — one over his driver not testifying and another involving a new statement from a security guard for Kelsey Nicole Harris during trial — were denied.

While those specific claims won’t proceed, his main appeal is still active and set for oral arguments next Monday (Aug. 18) in Los Angeles.
