Steve Harvey had fans cracking up as he reacted to a wife’s story about her forgetful husband—who has managed to miss 15 out of their 18 anniversaries.
In a throwback clip from The Steve Harvey Show shared on Facebook, the woman recalled how her husband always says their wedding was the “best day of his life,” yet somehow can’t remember the date.
“Should I be mad at him?” she asked Harvey. His quick reply: “It didn’t take you 15 times to get mad?”
Drawing from his own marriage to Marjorie Harvey, which has lasted 18 years, Steve made it clear he doesn’t have the luxury of forgetting.
“I can’t forget my anniversary. There’s no way I can forget my anniversary,” he said. “I can’t forget her birthday—I don’t even know what it is! I’m not allowed to forget.”
Looking at the audience member, he added, “15 out of 19? There’s something wrong with your man!” His advice: start reminding him two weeks before the date.
Harvey joked about how Marjorie keeps him on his toes. “If Marjorie and I are up at midnight, she’d be lying in the bed just looking upside my head. I can feel her,” he laughed. “You can feel your wife looking at you. You know, cause you don’t hear that breathing you need to hear.”
He recalled her calling him out one night: “‘Are you forgetting something?’ And I’m like, ‘It’s 12:30 a.m., what the hell am I forgetting?’”
Steve and Marjorie tied the knot in June 2007 and share a blended family of seven children—Steve’s Morgan, Wynton, and Broderick Jr., Marjorie’s Jason and Lori, and the couple’s twins, Brandi and Karli.
