DDG and Halle Bailey Locked in Custody Battle as Judge Orders Ban on Posting Son Halo Online

DDG and Halle Bailey’s custody battle over their son Halo is heating up.

According to court documents obtained by Complex, the former couple and their lawyers appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (Aug. 20) for a hearing tied to both custody and domestic violence-related proceedings. The court confirmed the two cases are connected and could be handled together.

A new order was issued restricting both parents from posting, uploading, or sharing any photos, videos, or information about their one-year-old online. The ruling also extends to preventing others from doing so on their behalf.

The judge also modified the existing temporary restraining order, allowing DDG (born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) to have “peaceful contact” with Bailey strictly for court-ordered visitation. All temporary orders will remain in place until their next hearing, set for October 15, 2025.

Back in May, Bailey was granted temporary physical and legal custody of Halo after alleging DDG assaulted her multiple times. In June, a judge denied DDG’s attempt to block Bailey from taking Halo to Italy, where she said she was contractually obligated to film a movie.

In his own filing for sole custody, DDG presented text messages where Bailey accused him of cheating. He also alleged she tracked his car with AirTags and threatened self-harm.
