Millie Bobby Brown, 21, and Jake Bongiovi, 23, are officially parents for the first time, just a year after tying the knot.
On Thursday (Aug. 21), the couple shocked fans with an Instagram announcement, revealing that they adopted a baby girl earlier this summer.
“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” their statement read. “And then there were 3.”
“Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it so important to start a family,” the British star shared around the 55-minute mark of the podcast below.
“It’s a huge thing,” she added. “Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing, and my thing was, ‘I really want a family. I really want a big family.’ I’m one of four [siblings], he’s one of four, so it is definitely in our future.”
Brown added, “I don’t see having your own child as really any different as in adopting. So I feel like anything’s out, ’cause for me, like my home is full of love for anyone and anything.”
She and Bongiovi — the son of Bon Jovi frontman John Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley — tied the knot last May in a private ceremony at Villa Cetinale in Italy. The two first connected as friends after following each other on Instagram in the summer of 2021, and by that fall, they had gone public with their relationship.
