Travis Scott Cuts Leeds Festival Headline Performance Short, Wraps Up 30 Minutes Early

Travis Scott left some fans disappointed this weekend after cutting his headlining set at Leeds Festival short by 30 minutes.

On Friday (August 22), the Jackboys 2 rapper hit the stage at 9:30 p.m. local time, delivering 24 tracks in just over an hour before suddenly wrapping up and walking off.

While no official explanation was given, one fan suggested Scott may have hurt himself during the performance. In a clip circulating online, the Houston star is seen shaking his hand and pausing mid-rap after coming into contact with the stage’s pyrotechnics.

Instead of addressing the early exit, Scott took to social media around midnight asking for an “over head video” of the start of his Leeds set, writing, “Champain and dumbo that was maddd wild.”

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the rapper was met with boos once the lights came on.

“I think it’s a bit shocking that he’s just ended it like that. I thought he was going out for an outfit change or something,” festivalgoer Pedro Marques told the outlet. “I thought the show was good otherwise but it was just a shame he ended so suddenly.”

Another attendee, Emily, described it as “a bit rude” considering fans had “waited so long” to finally see Scott perform.

Scott is set to close out the weekend with a headlining slot at Reading Festival, Leeds’ sister event, on Sunday (August 24). Fans are hoping this time he’ll stick around for the full set.
