Seth Rogen recently got real about fan encounters, admitting he’ll sometimes share a smoke if the vibe feels right.
While appearing with Ben Stiller for a live taping of the Happy Sad Confused podcast at the Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills, the Pineapple Express star explained that fans often want to light up with him more than quote his famous lines.
“I usually don’t, and like if it seems like it’ll really be special for the person, sometimes I will just come up to you like on the street,” said Rogen, who will star alongside Keanu Reeves and Aziz Ansari in the upcoming film Good Fortune.
“Yeah, I’ve had moments where I’m like this is a big moment for this person. Least I could do is take a couple hits with them, like that’s awesome,” he added.
Back in 2019, Rogen took his love of weed to the next level with the launch of Houseplant, a cannabis lifestyle brand aimed at smokers with style. The brand features the “By Seth” collection—ashtrays Rogen hand-sculpted himself—along with curated vinyl mixes crafted to pair with different strains.
Rogen has also invited fans to toke up with him in the past. Ahead of a Colorado screening of his 2014 film The Interview, he tweeted out an open invite, telling people to email for a chance to blaze with him at the event.
“We are going to do a screening of #TheInterviewMovie in Colorado where I get baked with everyone first, and we can smoke weed in the theater,” he wrote at the time.
