Ghostface Killah recently shared that Lil Wayne once quoted him a hefty six figures for a feature.
In a chat with Gorilla Nems on Shade45’s Disrespect Radio, the Wu-Tang legend revealed that when he reached out for a verse, he was told Wayne’s price tag was $150,000.
Ghostface, who just dropped Supreme Clientele 2, also mentioned he originally wanted Mac Miller for a feature on “Candyland.” After Miller’s passing, he turned to Wayne instead.
“We tried to reach out to Wayne and from what I’m hearing, it might not have been him,” Ghostface explained. “They asking for like $150,000. I’m like you know what man, just knock it out yourself. That’s rap shit, n***as be talk talk talk. It’s the worst.”
Earlier this month, Ghostface Killah showed love to Tyler, the Creator, naming him as a producer he’d love to work with.
During a chat with Apple Music 1’s Ebro Darden, Ghostface listened to Tyler’s track “Ring Ring Ring” from Don’t Tap the Glass and couldn’t hold back his excitement, exclaiming “Music!” while even likening it to Michael Jackson.
Ebro chimed in, “The kids gon’ be alright, my dude!”—a sentiment Ghostface quickly agreed with.
On Aug. 22, Ghostface Killah delivered Supreme Clientele 2, his 13th studio album and the long-awaited follow-up to his 2000 classic Supreme Clientele. The project comes stacked with guest features from Styles P, Redman, Conway the Machine, Raekwon, GZA, Method Man, and several others.
