Will Smith says he’s not hopping on the “frolicking challenge” alone — he wants Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx right there with him.
The wholesome trend, which Black male TikTokers recently revived, celebrates #BlackBoyJoy with clips of guys skipping and playing freely in scenic spots.
In a TikTok posted Wednesday (Sept. 3), Smith couldn’t resist chiming in, sharing a montage of frolicking moments.
“Black dudes been frolicking,” the Oscar winner said. “And I want to frolic, Jazz,” he added, shouting out longtime collaborator DJ Jazzy Jeff.
“We need to frolic,” Smith declared, as the TikTok cut to him gearing up to join the challenge. “And I’m out here and I’m seeing the sheep, and I want to frolic, Jazz.”
Still, he jokingly held himself back, saying his “core Blackless” was stopping him from fully leaping into the field.
“Imma call Barack [Obama] and see if it’s cool for us to frolic,” Smith quipped. “He’ll do it.”
Ultimately, he decided he wouldn’t commit until Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx jumped in first — though he did head back to his manor with a playful skip.
“Was that a frolic?” someone off-camera teased.
Smith, who hasn’t hit the big screen since Bad Boys: Ride or Die last year, has been leaning into social media to hype up his comeback album Based on a True Story.
Just last month, he sparked chatter when one of his concert clips went viral for showing what looked like AI-generated fans in the crowd. Smith laughed it off by later posting another video of himself performing — this time to an audience made entirely of cats.
