Fat Joe had jokes—but also some words of caution—while congratulating French Montana on his engagement to Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra during the Joe and Jada podcast.
“What I say to my brother is, I’m happy for you. God bless you and your fiancée…don’t mess up,” Joe told French, making Jadakiss pull his hood over his head and curl up on the couch in laughter.
Joe doubled down with a warning: “Or we gonna find you in Sudan. Don’t mess up. Sudan is where they’re not coming to rescue you.”
Still, the “All the Way Up” rapper made sure to stress he’s thrilled for French, reminding him to “stay focused.”
Romance rumors first sparked earlier this year when French and Sheikha Mahra were spotted together in the UAE and at Paris Fashion Week. According to People, the two may have gotten close after she gave him a tour of Dubai last year, not long after her divorce from Sheikh Mana. French popped the question in June, per TMZ.
Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s ruler and Prime Minister of the UAE, who Forbes estimated in 2011 had a $4 billion net worth.
Joking about the high-profile marriage, Joe added he might be knocking on French’s door for a loan soon. “We’re so happy for you ’cause I know I’m good for a loan. I go to French Montana, and get a loan now. Like, I’m good for the loan. That ain’t even $188 million. That’s trillions! He’s part of a—yo, French, we love you, brother! Congratulations!”
