Sharon Osbourne has spoken out with gratitude as she continues to navigate life after Ozzy Osbourne’s passing in July.
In a new Instagram post, Sharon shared a video of herself spending time with an owl, paired with a heartfelt message to fans.
“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” she wrote. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed; in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”
“Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with,” Sharon wrote. “The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence. They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”
Her post came just as daughter Kelly revealed she had introduced Sharon to falconry. “Today I introduced my mum to falconry and she loved it!” Kelly captioned the clip, thanking trainer Gerard Sulter for “putting a smile on [her] mum’s face.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s passing was confirmed on July 22 in a statement shared across his official social media accounts, only weeks after his final performance with Black Sabbath earlier that month.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the post read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
Earlier this month, his son Jack broke his silence in a YouTube video, recalling his final memories with his father.
“I left on the 13th of July, came home, and my dad was great,” the 39-year-old said. “He was in a good mood. He was happy. I woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on my house door at around 3:45 in the morning. And I was informed that my father had passed.”
Jack admitted the news left him overwhelmed: “Immediately, I don’t know, just [felt] pain, just sadness and pain and just so many thoughts you go through, like feeling sad and frustrated and angry. Like this part of you that’s like, ‘I have to get there right now.’”
He went on to reflect on their bond, calling Ozzy a “friend, text buddy and joke cracker.”
“I was so lucky,” Jack said. “I had such a great relationship with him and I’m so grateful and I think that’s been the overwhelming feeling has been gratitude.”
