Lil Nas X Entering “Treatment” After LA Arrest, Lawyer Assures Fans: “Just a Bump He’ll Get Over”

Lil Nas X is currently “in treatment,” with his lawyer confirming the two-time Grammy winner is focusing on his health and personal matters following his highly publicized arrest.

Speaking to Rolling Stone’s Nancy Dillon on Monday (Sept. 15), attorney Drew Findling explained that the next court date isn’t for “a couple more months,” leaving the priority on X’s overall well-being in the meantime.

“Obviously, you heard the treatment word,” Findling said. “We’re doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly for his well-being. He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people that care about him and love him. We’re just addressing those issues. It’s really as simple as that.”

He added, “He’s had a great life. He’ll continue to have a great life. This is a bump that he’s gonna get over, and on behalf of him, his family is making sure that he addresses all those issues right now.”

On Monday, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Lil Nas X can remain out of state “as long as he remains in treatment.” The specific kind of treatment has not been disclosed.

The update follows X’s earlier reassurance to fans that he was “going to be alright” after his felony arrest—an incident his father later linked to the heavy pressures of fame. “That was fucking terrifying,” X admitted at the time.

Back in August, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office revealed that X, born Montero Hill, was charged with three felony counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.

This story is still developing.
