Coi Leray revealed that she gave Trippie Redd another chance after their first split because of her spiritual outlook.
Their reconciliation came to an end earlier this year when Coi accused Trippie of cheating on her while she was pregnant.
On a new episode of Justin Laboy’s Respectfully podcast, the rapper opened up about reconnecting with Trippie in 2024, five years after their initial breakup.
“He spun the block,” Coi said around the 20:20 mark. When Laboy asked why she decided to take him back, she explained it was because she’s “very spiritual.”
“I feel like everything happens for a reason,” Coi said. “And I felt like it was one of those situations where it’s like … if it comes back, it’s always meant to be. And I thought that was the situation for sure.”
She explained that co-parenting with Trippie feels a lot like when they first met: “two young, talented, amazing people trying to figure it out.”
“It’s still going to be that—us young, talented, trying to figure it out, locking our future,” she added.
Coi also shared her candid thoughts on relationships, saying she believes “all” men cheat. “I think I’m at that point for sure,” she admitted. When Justin Laboy asked if that meant she was accepting it, she clarified, “I’m not accepting it. That’s why I’m like, damn, I will probably be alone for the rest of my life. I’m at that point. I’m like, damn, ’cause I’m not that type of alone girl. I don’t want to be alone. I want a family. I want to have more kids.”
Coi and Trippie’s relationship was short-lived when it first began in 2019 but fizzled that same year. They rekindled in August 2024, later confirming on Jan. 1, 2025, that they were expecting their first child together.
By late January, however, things soured when Coi accused Trippie of cheating during her pregnancy. “Nothing worst than being cheated on,” she wrote on Instagram Story at the time, adding she “wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy.”
The two later welcomed their daughter, Miyoco, in June.
