Dame Dash appeared to swat Charlamagne Tha God’s hand away after the host tried to hold it during his fiery new sit-down on The Breakfast Club.
The tense exchange came after a series of heated back-and-forths where Dash and the hosts traded jabs over everything from whether Dash is “broke,” to Charlamagne’s sexuality, to rumors of DJ Envy facing a RICO investigation.
By the 41:20 mark, emotions were clearly boiling over. When Charlamagne reached out to address Dash about his habits, Dame reacted by seemingly smacking his hand aside — adding another layer of chaos to the already charged interview
“It’s like you’re always on camera explaining your life,” Charlamagne told Dame Dash. Without missing a beat, Dash shot back with his own critique: “And you’re always on camera talking about other people like a girl.”
When Charlamagne replied, “So are you,” Dash turned to the room, asking them to break down what had just gone down. As Charlamagne gestured and swung his hands around while speaking, he suddenly reached over as if to grab Dash’s hand.
That’s when Dame quickly cocked his hand back, seemingly ready to smack Charlamagne’s hand with the fury of a thousand suns — but at the very last second, he pulled back, catching himself before actually making contact.
“I’m about to…Yo. Don’t do that,” Dash warned, while Charlamagne cackled beside him. Dame nearly stormed out after the tense moment, but ultimately stayed to finish the interview.
And that wasn’t even the wildest part of the conversation. At another point, Dash clapped back at Charlamagne’s claim that the internet had “got your head crazy” by roasting the entire studio setup.
“How do you know? Y’all don’t come outside. There’s no windows in here. This shit is crazy. Look at the dark curtain… Y’all behind the stage of a curtain. Y’all in the coffin. I would never. This is uninspiring. Dirty and all that shit. You’re a girl. You clean this shit up,” Dame fired off.
