On an unreleased track that leaked this week, Dave Blunts seems to call out Kanye West, accusing him of trying to “groom” him and steer him toward Nazism.
Though Blunts and Ye have had ties for years, their relationship appears to have taken a dark turn. “Cut off Kanye West, because that n***a tried to groom me,” Blunts raps in the snippet. “N***as in my city talking bout how they gonna sue me.”
A fuller version of the unreleased track later surfaced on social media, with Blunts doubling down on his accusations. “Kanye West, he made diss the jews,” he raps. “Bitch I’m speaking out this is my truth / I’m so sick and tired of being groomed. … I’m not your cousin you can’t top me … Two cousins should not have sex / Two cousins should not 69.”
In July, Dave Blunts hinted that Ye was “doing better” and would no longer be sharing antisemitic comments online. But more recently, Blunts made it clear he’s cutting ties.
Earlier this month, he posted screenshots of what he claimed was a text exchange with Ye, where he announced he was stepping away from their collaboration.
“I can no longer continue to work on this album,” Blunts wrote. “It does not align with what you want me to do. I appreciate the opportunity but respectfully I’m out.”
Ye allegedly responded, “Ok thank you. What are the parts that didn’t align.” To which Blunts shot back, “You are very lost. Please find God.”
That same week, Blunts doubled down in an Instagram Story, writing: “Stop asking me about YE music I don’t work w dude anymore I’m on my own path!”
