Cardi B Drops Highly Anticipated Second Album Am I the Drama?

Cardi B’s long-awaited second album Am I the Drama? has officially arrived.

After years of pushbacks and false starts, the Brimcess is back with her first full-length project since her 2018 smash debut Invasion of Privacy—and she’s serving up all the drama seven years later.

“Seven years of love, life, and loss. Seven years I showed them grace, but now I’m bringing the fire,” Cardi declared in the June teaser for the album. “I’ve learned power isn’t handed out, it’s taken. I’m done shedding feathers and crying tears. I’m not just back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain—I’m your karma. The moment is here, the moment is now.”

The 23-track project comes stacked with both fan favorites and fresh heat. It features previously released singles like “Outside” and the Jay-Z–sampling “Imaginary Playerz,” alongside hits such as 2021’s “Up” and the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted “WAP.” Also making the cut is “Bodega Baddie,” a track teased earlier that flips El Prodigio’s 2003 merengue classic “Ta’ Buena.”

Bardi brought some heavy hitters along for the ride, recruiting the likes of Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Lourdiz, and Tyla for guest features.

In a standout moment, Janet Jackson lends her voice to “Principal,” marking one of the icon’s rare guest appearances in recent years.

“I think people are expecting one thing, but it’s not what they think,” Cardi shared with Complex’s Jordan Rose back in June. “Even my intro is something nobody would ever expect from me—and a lot of the songs carry that same energy.”

She added, “For a long time, I felt like fame, relationships, everything just beat me down. It woke me up, pulled at me, and people made so many assumptions about who I am. I never really got the chance to pop my shit. People always try to humble me … but I’m here to show I’m not the one to play with.”

Fresh off welcoming her fourth child—and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs—Cardi is gearing up for the Little Miss Drama Tour, which kicks off in February 2026 following her due date.
