Police Say Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Stars’ Son Killed T-Hood in Self-Defense

Authorities have concluded that Ky Frost, son of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost, acted in self-defense in the fatal shooting of rapper T-Hood last month.

According to TMZ, the Gwinnett County Police Department is wrapping up its investigation and determined that T-Hood was the aggressor in the confrontation. A department spokesperson said the rapper initiated a fight with Frost and pulled a gun, prompting Frost to draw his own weapon and fire first.

Per the Los Angeles Times, officers were called to T-Hood’s Georgia home on August 8 for a domestic dispute and discovered him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The 33-year-old was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy obtained by TMZ revealed he was shot in the back, legs, and buttocks. At the time of the incident, T-Hood was dating Ky’s sister, Kelsie Frost. Police also confirmed that a woman was injured during the domestic dispute, and that the shooter left the residence before the shots were fired.

Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ earlier this year showed T-Hood in a physical altercation with Kelsie, appearing to choke her during an argument in their apartment.

After T-Hood’s death, Kelsie spoke out against “weird and sick rumors” claiming she orchestrated the shooting. “I can’t sit back and let the narrative being created go on. The love of my life is GONE,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “The man I lay with and cuddle every single night… is no longer here. … I don’t condone this shit in any way, shape, form or fashion. I am sick to my stomach. I don’t wish this on anyone.”

Gwinnett County Police say they will soon forward their findings to the District Attorney, who will decide if Ky Frost faces charges.
