Cardi B isn’t sugarcoating the reality of her split from Offset, making it clear the divorce process has been anything but smooth.
During her sit-down on The Breakfast Club to promote her new album Am I the Drama?, co-host Loren Lorosa mentioned that from the outside, things seemed “a lot more peaceful” than when Cardi first filed for divorce in July 2024.
Cardi quickly shot that down. “No it’s not. It’s not peaceful at all,” she said. “It’s like, it’s a court thing, but it is not peaceful at all. Just know.”
When asked about Offset’s closing track “Move On” from his latest album Kiari—where he raps, “fuck the time that we had”—Cardi’s reaction was blunt. “I laughed,” she said. “Whatever. You let the world think what they want to think. People see it. People see what’s up. I don’t bother nobody.”
Charlamagne Tha God then pressed about whether her feelings were hurt by Offset’s bar suggesting she couldn’t cook. Cardi wasn’t phased: “But now you got all these bitches that cook for you, why you still bothering me? Shit.”
She explained cooking was never a requirement in their marriage, so she finds it odd he’s now acting like it was a problem.
Still, Cardi admitted she hasn’t given up on love or marriage: “I will get married again. But not as quick as I got married the last time. But it’s a lot. It’s really a lot. It’s actually disgusting.”
Her openness echoes comments she made in a recent Gayle King interview, where she said of Offset: “I just wish he was a better person, but it is what it is. I think he has some type of hate in his heart right now. … I don’t really have hate in my heart anymore. I don’t know how long that’s gonna take for him but that’s always been my wish. I get along with everybody that I dated. If we all move on, there shouldn’t be no animosity.”
