Cardi B isn’t letting anyone downplay her pen game.
After The Joe Budden Podcast dissected her new album Am I the Drama?, Budden praised the project but questioned whether Cardi wrote some of the sharpest bars aimed at JT (“Magnet”) and Bia (“Pretty and Petty”). “Whoever is writing these lines, he is smoking this shit,” he said.
Cardi quickly fired back in a now-deleted X post, shutting down the speculation. “Whoever wrote it? Nah that’s CARDI.. this is my process… I’m a natural roaster and you already know I’m quick with the mouth so I’ll be coming up with lines and I’ll record myself then lay it later..”
She doubled down, adding: “Don’t give me backhanded 10s cuz I’ll always be able to prove my shit.”

On Am I the Drama?, Cardi B wastes no time throwing lyrical shots.
On “Magnet,” she takes aim at an unnamed rival — though many believe she’s referencing JT, with bars that seem to allude to Lil Uzi Vert and City Girls member Yung Miami.
Then on “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi gets more direct, calling out Bia by name. In her verses, she accuses the rapper of lacking hits and even throws shade about her spending time at Diddy’s house.
In her chat with The Zane Lowe Show last month, Cardi B made it clear that Am I the Drama? would be her most unapologetic project yet.
“My humbleness, me trying so much to be unproblematic, me trying to avoid drama, avoid the disses, avoid the bitches, avoid the talks, it’s like that shit is dying, that’s dying out in me,” she said. “Because I’m really about to show you, bitch, that you are not fucking with me.”
