BigXthaPlug is still buzzing after Beyoncé gave him the ultimate co-sign by weaving his track “The Largest” into her tour.
Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show, BigX was asked what it felt like to have Queen Bey use his music on such a massive stage. For him, it was more than just recognition — it was initiation.
“So it’s like, you know how they got like fraternities and sororities and stuff right […] So Beyoncé’s fraternity or sorority is […] the BeyHive right,” he explained. “I basically just felt like I didn’t have to do not a step or I didn’t have to read no books, nothing. I just got initiated into the BeyHive. Yes, for free, you know what I’m saying? So if the queen says so, and whatever she say you know it goes.”
BigXthaPlug admitted he didn’t even realize how big the moment was at first. When Beyoncé’s team reached out about using his track, he didn’t think twice before saying yes.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, of course you can use a song for it,’” BigX recalled. “It’s Beyoncé […] So yeah, I’m a part of the BeyHive now […] I already had a bunch of female fans, you know? My fans are great, but to the Beyoncé fans, that’s another level.”
