Meek Mill is questioning whether he has grounds for a lawsuit after revealing that his father’s body can’t be located in the cemetery.
The Philly rapper opened up after a fan quoted a line from his Bay Swag collab “17” on X:
“So many dead bodies they can’t find my daddy in the grave yard!” the fan posted.
Meek quickly confirmed the bar was real life, replying, “They really can’t find my dad in the graveyard,” before turning to X’s built-in AI system Grok with the question: “do I have a lawsuit lol.”

“I seen my dad so fresh to death at 4 years old I thought it was Easter ….. he smelled like embalming fluid, gave him a Kiss his shit start leaking…..,” Meek wrote.
The rapper has opened up about his father before, including in his 2019 Amazon docuseries Free Meek. In it, he reflected on the complicated feelings he carried about his father robbing drug dealers to provide for the family.
“I don’t believe in that. Nobody should take food out of nobody else’s mouth because they got kids to feed, too,” he said. “I don’t knock him for doing it, though, because that’s how I was fed, that’s how I ate good at night.”
He also described a painful moment from his dad’s funeral that has stayed with him.
“The memories are so old, you don’t know if it’s a dream or a memory at this point,” Meek explained. “The main thing I remember is at his funeral, my aunt told me, ‘Tell your dad goodbye, you’re never gonna see him again.’ That stuck with me all the way up to today. Life still goes on. Nothing stops when somebody dies. Things keep going.”
