Dame Dash says he’d “rather squash this” than keep trading shots with Cam’ron and 50 Cent.
The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder’s latest comments follow a long stretch of back-and-forth, with Cam recently declaring the feud had hit the “point of no return.” Dame, however, sees it differently—calling this a chance to put the drama to rest and maybe even collaborate down the line, though not on the upcoming Paid in Full series.
“I’m sitting here on the dock looking at the view, and I’m thinking, why am I beefing with Cam?” Dame said in a video posted to Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 21. “The only reason is because I never got to talk to him. He publicly said he wasn’t gonna talk to me. But almost every OG from Harlem and everyone I respect is like, cut this shit. It’s embarrassing.”
Dame suggested a sit-down with both Cam and 50, saying a real conversation could squash the tension. He also offered an “apology to Harlem,” admitting the feud has been “embarrassing.”
In the same statement, Dame brought up his recent $300 million legal threat against Cam, accusing him of defamation, and even referenced The Godfather films, pointing to Fredo’s murder in the second movie.
“The Black godfather don’t kill his brother,” Dame said. “He teaches his brother.”
Looking ahead, Dame said he’s open to teaming up with Cam and 50 on a TV project or film.
“Instead of us talking about each other on fucking social media like clowns, let’s sit down and talk like real men,” he said. “Let’s take this off the street. The street right now is the internet and this shit is corny. So, I don’t wanna fight with y’all no more.”
In the caption of his Instagram post, Dame made his intentions clear:
“Let’s just resolve this and move forward collectively,” he wrote. “Let’s show the world that they can’t divide us over bullshit.”
