Finesse2Tymes and his girlfriend, FNG Shugga—who is also the mother of his child—were taken into custody last week on drug and gun possession charges.
Smith County arrest records show the two were booked on Saturday (Sept. 20) following allegations of drug and firearm possession. They were released shortly after posting bail.
A video captured the arrest happening just after their concert in Tyler, Texas, with fans looking on and showing support as the couple was escorted into squad cars.
Finesse2Tymes broke his silence on Instagram, posting a set of photos with Shugga and writing, “Went to jail, came home, went to jail again, came back again.”

In a follow-up post, Finesse2Tymes shared footage from his show at the 220 Lounge in Tyler, Texas, while explaining why he’s always upfront about his legal troubles.
“People wonder why I talk about jail so much, it’s because when I’m performing that’s all I can remember, and rather I make it further or not compared to what I HAD I can’t lose,” he wrote. “I have learned to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Earlier this year, Finesse2Tymes voluntarily surrendered to authorities after reportedly violating his probation terms. The Memphis rapper even posted a video on his Instagram Story showing himself walking into a Texas courthouse, telling fans, “I’ll be back.”
Before that arrest, he had addressed a dispute with his girlfriend’s mother, who called the police and claimed he threatened to shoot her.
