Cardi B forcefully shut down comparisons to Nick Cannon during an X Spaces session on Monday September 22.
“I don’t get in Nick Cannon’s business, but let me tell you something, all my kids live in the same house, and they are raised by a person, and that’s me,” she said, referencing Cannon’s 12 children with five different women.
Back in 2022 on Paramount+’s The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, the 44-year-old entertainer admitted he feels guilty about not being able to spend enough time with his kids.
“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” Cannon said, adding, “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”
Cardi made her stance clear: “You can’t compare me to Nick Cannon,” she said. “I don’t got 12 different baby daddies. I got three kids with one baby dad. And I’m gonna have a new baby with another man.”
The Am I the Drama? star revealed last week that she’s expecting her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs. She already shares three children with estranged husband Offset.
Before announcing her pregnancy, Cardi appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and happily answered “Yes” when asked if she wanted more kids.
“The more kids you have, the less of a possibility you go to, like, a [nursing] home,” Cardi joked. “One of them is gonna wipe my butt.”
On Sunday’s Spaces, she also pushed back on commentary from The Read’s Crissle West about her choosing to have another child before her divorce from Offset is finalized. Whatever people think about her choices, Cardi insisted motherhood is sacred to her.
“Some people might have opinions on my work, right?” she said, adding, “But one thing nobody can fuck with me or tell me is about my motherhood. That title? I’ll beat bitches up for that title. One thing I know I am is a great mother.”
