Months ahead of the discovery of 15-year-old runaway Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s remains in the trunk of his Tesla, D4vd had already put out a haunting visual that feels eerily close to reality.
In the music video for his track “One More Dance,” the singer is shown covered in blood as he drags a lifeless figure before shoving it into the back of a car. Fans have since resurfaced the clip—now topping 3.9 million YouTube views—noting its chilling similarities to the ongoing murder case.
The music video has sparked fresh scrutiny as Los Angeles police dig into how Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s dismembered remains ended up inside D4vd’s Tesla earlier this month. The grisly discovery was made on September 8—just a day after the teen’s 15th birthday—when the vehicle was towed from the Hollywood Hills.
Though D4vd hasn’t been arrested or charged, he scrapped the rest of his U.S. and European tour dates last week as the investigation ramps up. LAPD officers raided a Hollywood Hills property where he had been staying and seized “several items of evidence,” though he hasn’t officially been named a suspect.
At the same time, his music has surged. “Romantic Homicide,” his breakout hit, soared to No. 8 on Spotify’s daily chart Monday—its highest point since going viral on TikTok in 2022. Other tracks, including “Feel It” and “Here With Me,” have also spiked in streams.
Speculation about D4vd’s ties to Hernandez is growing. Screenshots from his Discord fan server suggest he was rumored to have dated a girl named Celeste years ago. He also recorded an unreleased track referencing the name twice, and photos have surfaced of him with someone resembling Hernandez.
Her mother later told TMZ that Celeste had been dating a boy named “David.” Hernandez was first reported missing at 13. According to his reps, the singer is fully cooperating with investigators.
