Cardi B kept it all the way real in her sit-down with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy.
When Cooper asked her to recall her worst PR disaster, Cardi let out a dramatic “Ughhh,” before laughing and admitting, “It’s so many.”
Cooper praised her for handling those firestorms “with grace,” but Cardi wasn’t having it. “With grace?! I be pulling my pussy hairs out. They be stressing me out. They want to cancel me,” she said. “They want to cancel me, and it’s just like, I don’t mean no harm.”
She then brought up last month’s drama, when she was accused of body-shaming her fans after joking on Instagram Live about her Am I the Drama? x WWE box set selling out. The 3XL shirts flew off shelves in just 20 minutes, prompting Cardi to quip, “So the box sets are completely sold out, especially because you fat fucks—clearly you guys are fat as fuck, no Chick-fil-A for y’all.”
At the time, Cardi even tried to brace for the backlash. “Now, knowing that my fans is fat—I can’t even make fun of fat people no more,” she said. “Don’t call me fatphobic, y’all, ’cause everybody make fun of my BBL.”
This isn’t the first time Cardi has clapped back on the topic. Five years ago, she posted a video defending herself after trolls body-shamed her bikini pics.
She closed out the Call Her Daddy moment by making it clear she’s not fatphobic. “Now they’re saying I hate fat people, and it’s like, do you think I wake up, like, I hate fat people! I hate them. I hate them. I hate them. What the fuck? Are you serious?”
The convo kicks off around the 11:30 mark in the video above.
