Multimillion-Dollar RICO Case Against Diddy’s Mother Tossed Just Before His Sentencing

A multimillion-dollar RICO lawsuit against Janice Combs, the mother of Diddy, has officially been thrown out.

According to court documents obtained by Complex, the claims brought under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act were “dismissed with prejudice,” meaning the case is permanently closed and cannot be refiled. The filing also stated that previously made state-level claims were dismissed, with the plaintiff ordered to “take nothing,” while the defendants will recover their legal costs.

The dismissal covered Janice Combs, Janice Combs Publishing LLC, and Janice Combs Publishing Holdings Inc. The lawsuit had originally been filed by Deon Best back in January, alleging that Diddy’s mother was involved in a scheme to “defraud him” of rights and revenues, per TMZ.

This legal victory for Janice Combs comes just before her son’s sentencing in his high-profile New York case. While Diddy was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges, he was convicted on prostitution-related counts. His sentencing is scheduled for next month.

In the lead-up, several letters of support have been filed with the court, including one from Yung Miami. In her note, she described Diddy as “a good man” who was “loving, genuine, supportive, and always encouraging” throughout their relationship.

“I want to be clear that I cannot speak on or defend anything that may have happened before I met Sean Combs,” Yung Miami wrote. “I do not condone any wrongdoing. I can only speak from my personal experience and the man I’ve come to know over the past four years.”
