NBA YoungBoy Fan Attacks Elderly Venue Worker at Kansas City Concert

A shocking video making rounds online captures the moment a teenage fan of YoungBoy Never Broke Again attacked an elderly staff member during his concert at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to TMZ, the incident went down at the sold-out show on Sunday (Sept. 21) when a juvenile, later identified by authorities, repeatedly punched an older guest services worker. The man was knocked to the ground during the assault, losing his glasses in the process.

The attack ended when another person intervened and pulled the teen away. The employee sustained several injuries, though none were life-threatening.

“A juvenile male was detained and subsequently released to his guardian pending further investigation,” a Kansas City Police Department spokesperson confirmed, adding that prosecutors are now reviewing the case for possible charges.

The victim, 66-year-old Thomas Schlange, later identified himself as the T-Mobile Center employee and spoke with WDAF about what happened. “I think people should be able to go to T-Mobile or any other venue in the city, purchase a ticket and enjoy their show,” Schlange said. “And they should not be interrupted by people who misbehave. … I went down and had blows to my head.”

Witness Robert McDaniel told the outlet that the teen lashed out after being asked to move because his seat didn’t match his ticket. “He was asked to move to another place – because his ticket wasn’t where he was sitting — and immediately he just completely lost it,” McDaniel explained. “But there is something going on in his heart that needs to be fixed — and what that is, is his emotions. He needs to learn how to operate and work through and process those emotions.”
