Keke Palmer gave SZA the ultimate surprise — a personal shoutout from Keanu Reeves.
On Thursday (September 25), Palmer shared an Instagram reel from the press run for her new film Good Fortune, where she appeared alongside her costar Reeves. Mid-interview, she decided to slip in a special moment for SZA, who previously starred with Palmer in the buddy comedy One of Them Days.
“I’ve got some ‘good fortune’ for you, SZA!” Palmer began.
“Hi!” Reeves chimed in. “It’s Keanu. How’s it going?”
Palmer then explained, “Keanu, this is for my friend SZA. Remember I told you she’s really nice?”
“Yes!” Reeves replied warmly. “Thank you for being kind, SZA.”
“Don’t say I never did anything for you, girl,” Palmer wrapped up the clip.
The video came after SZA had previously commented asking for a “keanu thing” — and thanks to Keke, she finally got it. The five-time Grammy winner was overjoyed in the comments, writing, “KEEEEKEEEEEEE LENETHIAA JACKSON BROWN!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!! KEAANNUUUUU !!”
She kept the playful energy going, adding, “Dammit Keke which child do you want. My first born or my second. Spoiler .. Ionno if imma do it twice.”
She followed up in the comments with, “I’m so down bad I’m back under here again.”
SZA’s love for Keanu Reeves is no secret. Back in July, she shared an Instagram Story featuring a photo of the actor edited with grillz and an iced-out watch, set to the Isley Brothers classic “Between the Sheets.”
“If u know me u know how down bad I am for Keanu,” she confessed. “Ion care if it’s AI.”
