Nicki Minaj just gave her Barbz something big to look forward to — the release date for her highly anticipated sixth album.
On Tuesday (September 23), less than a year after wrapping her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, the rapper announced on X that her next project will arrive on March 27, 2025.
The news quickly sent fans into a frenzy, with some speculating about the timing since it came just days after Cardi B dropped her sophomore album Am I the Drama? on September 19.
“and when the world needed u most… u APPEARED,” one fan tweeted.
Another wrote, “You seen the state of female rap and decided to do what you do best, SAVE IT.”

Nicki Minaj last dropped an album in December 2023 with Pink Friday 2, her long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Queen. The project boasted features from heavyweights like Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Drake, and Lil Uzi Vert, and stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 228,000 equivalent album units in its opening week.
The LP spawned several hit singles, including “Super Freaky Girl,” “Everybody,” and “Red Ruby da Sleeze.”
